Our history

1931

Confiserie-Chocolaterie Guyaux is founded by Florent Guyaux to make chocolate specialities and a range of boiled sweets, sold in the immediate locality and delivered by Florent Guyaux himself. 

1959

The production of truffles, previously hand-made, is industrialised.

1979

Florent’s son Jacques joins the firm and soon takes the helm, expanding the product range and customer base across the Île-de-France region and later, the whole of France.

1985

Jacques's  granddaughter Catherine joins the firm with the aim of introducing the family-owned chocolate-maker’s specialities to the world at large. 

2001

The chocolate factory receives Ecocert accreditation and launches its first products made using organically farmed ingredients.

2006

The chocolate factory receives IFS accreditation.

2008

A new truffle production line is installed.

2010

Our store opens.

2012

The company signs up to the “Talents d’Ile de France” charter.

2015

Launch of a range of pure cocoa butter truffles.

2019

Launch of palm-oil free truffles.

2022

We join the Saveurs & Délices group.

Since 2022, Guyaux has been part of the Saveurs & Délices Group, which itself belongs to the Buton family.

Over three generations, the Buton family has built up an industrial group focusing on bread and pastries. Through its Saveurs & Délices division, it has gone on to expand into chocolates, confectionery and biscuits. Within this group, Guyaux remains autonomous, preserving its artisanal ethos whilst also benefiting from the group’s synergies
